Marcha contra la Frontera / March against the border

On Sunday August 18th, about 100 people joined in a spirited march from la Casa de Cultura in Nogales, Sonora Mex to the US port of entry. El Lunes 18 de Agosto, aproximadamente 100 personas se unieron en una marcha espiritada desde la Casa de Cultura en Nogales, Sonora Mex. hasta la frontera de los Estados Unidos.
For the culmination of Colectividades Fronterizas, participants marched to the border. Before leaving, it was clarified that the march was non-violent and that aggression would not be allowed; but that marchers could defend themselves if necessary.
The march left the Casa de Cultura in the late afternoon. It was about a mile and a half to the border, and the march took the streets while thunder rumbled and lightning flashed, building dramatically as the march neared the border.
Two police cars and one on a motorcycle showed up and attempted to force the march off the road. But since they were vastly outnumbered, they ended up escorting the march.
Once arriving at the border, the march headed to the side where cars enter into Mexico from the US. Here a game of "soccer" occured, and chanting and jumping. Mexican police appeared to be gathering, however they did not move in. US Border Patrol agents were noticeably angry as traffic was slowed and even stopped for about 20 minutes.
As the march left the port of entry, it began raining. At one point the marchers began running, as about 10 police cars converged on the road. All marchers made it safely back to the house, and the evening of punk music began shortly afterwards.

Para la culminación de Colectividades Fronterizas, participantes marcharon a la frontera. Antes de salir, se clarifica que la marcha fuera pacifista y que agresión no se toleraba, pero que las marchantes se defendería si fuera necesario.
La marcha salió de la Casa de Cultura en la tarde. Fue dos kilometros hasta la frontera, y la marcha tomó las calles mientras el trueno y el relámpago se actuaba. El tiempo subiera dramaticamente.
Dos carros y un moto de la policía aparecieron y trataron a forzar la marcha fuera de la calle. Pero habia muchas más marchantes, y la policía guiaron la marcha en vez de parar la.
La marcha Llegó cantando y se fue a la parte donde los carros de los EEUU entran a Mexico. Aquí ocurió un juego de futból. Pareció qué la policía iban a arrestar a la gente pero no pasó. Los agentes de la Migra de los EEUU aparecieron enojados porque el tráfico se moderó y paró para más o menos 20 minutos.
Empezó a llover cuando se fueron de la frontera. Volviendo a la Casa, 10 carros de la policía aparecieron y las marchantes corrieron. Pero todas las marchantes volvieron a la casa con toda seguridad, y empezó la tocada de punk.
