About 100 people gathered for a demonstration against Dick Cheney and the impending war in Iraq on Monday. 10-14-02 Phoenix, AZ

About 100 people gathered for a demonstration against Dick Cheney and the impending war in Iraq on Monday. 10-14-02
Tacticts included marching downtown past the shops and restaraunts as onlookers stared openmouthed, some waved two fingers, others only one. There was also a die-in where the protesters lay down on the sidewalk to represent the dead, dying and future dead of a second war in the gulf. As the "college republicans" sang the star spangeled banner, the anti war protesters shouted subtle reminders of why they were there.
"This is what Iraq looks like", "This is what New York looks like", "We are the United Nations, United we are dead!" the Women in Black walked around in silent vigil holding handmade dolls to represent the lifeless bodies of loved ones lost. While a young man in a George Bush mask and kings crown tapped the sidewalk with his scepter to the chants of "Peace is Patriotic"
