Anti Jewish Protesters Stage Mock Suicide Bombing

Tucson - AZ - Anti Jewish protesters staged a mock suicide bombing by floating red balloons over a human flag of Israel in Tucson today. The flag was created by 400 Jewish students at the University of Arizona mall and was described as a Jewish cultural event.

Protesters stated: "we hate zio-nazis" as they held up signs and shouted anti American and anti Jewish epitaphs. One skinhead protester sported a photograph of a dead baby, another shouted "we've had it with you people, you're finished". The groups were monitored by over a dozen UA police.

The protest was the latest in a series of anti Jewish events that has taken place in Tucson over the past four years. Protesters have issued e-mail warnings that this is just the first in a series of planned actions.

The issue here is peace - nothing more - isn't that what we all want? Well the above angry and hateful posts confirm what the original writer is saying in her own way. It does not seem or read like the responses are grounded in a position of love, rather hate and one has to assume their anger is misplaced and has more to do with personal problems than politics. The concept of Palestine was created in 1967 before that it had never existed. Why are none of you protesting the Syrian and Jordanian treatment of "Palestinians" - in 48 hours the Syrians killed more of them than Israel ever has, and that's a fact. But most of you seem to just want to hate, hate, hate - you don't care about peace, the Palestinians or Israelis.

1967? Nay, the Palestine National Congress first convened in 1918 to protest the Balfour declaration. The Palestinian movement for nationhood goes back to the end of the Ottoman empire. Palestinian deputies first represented Palestine in the Ottoman Turkish Paliament in 1876, and while at this time they were not an independent state per se, it is obvious that they were a people, with a system of political representation.

The Zionists have tried for years to justify their oppression of Palestinians and their confiscation of Palestinian lands by claiming that there is no Palestinian people, but that is just the same sort of revisionist history which the Nazis used to justify their occupation of Poland.

Speaking of roots, the roots of modern revisionist zionism go right back to the philosophies of Hitler and Mussolini. The Zionists even have their own Brown Shirts, the Betar. So, the term Zionazi is in a sense apt even in a historical context.

Just because someone opposes human rights violations committed by the Israeli government, does not mean they are anti-Jewish. A person can support the Jewish religion and people but still oppose racism in Israel/Palestine by the government.

In fact, a person can *be* Jewish and oppose racism against Palestinians. In fact, there are a lot of them out there.

The Middle East problem is mostly driven by Palestinian racism. Palestinian children are brought up to hate Jews. They are taught to that Jews and all "infidels" create the problems of the earth. Palestinian kids are taught from a young age that the biggest honor in life is to kill jews.
ie: "If you blow up a bus with 46 Jews in it and only 15 survive, how many Jews did you kill?"
Their poetry, pop culture, text books, and graffiti is filled with this type of propaganda. There is nothing even comparable in Israel.
