White Nationalism and Protect Arizona Now
by godless Sunday, May. 16, 2004 at 6:50 AM

The Protect Arizona Now initiative is supported by several anti-immigration groups with ties to white nationalist organizations.

Protect Arizona Now Supporters

The Protect Arizona Now initiative is supported by a coalition of extremist anti-immigration groups and individuals. They use racist, inflammatory language and exaggeration to scare Arizonans into thinking that PAN will help keep immigrants from "invading" our state and destroying "our culture," (which means white Anglo culture, of course). Their ultimate goal is the militarization of our borders.

The Director of Protect Arizona Now is Kathy McKee of Glendale, a former PeTA activist. Here's what McKee has to say about the dangers of immigration:

"This is ridiculous to spend the money to make it [a] bilingual society. Part of the culture is dress, diet, though that means different things to different people. I like grits and collard greens, but I think that whatever is our culture, and I think that is debatable, what is the very essence of our culture, we should be allowed to keep it without having to finance second languages and other cultural influence from other countries."
(Horizonte, KAET TV, Dec. 18, 2003)

PAN Treasurer Rusty Childress, owner of Childress Auto Mall in Phoenix, agrees that we need to protect the United States from immigrants because "we need to be careful that we don't become the third world country that a lot of these illegal aliens are running from." (Horizonte, KAET TV, Dec. 18, 2003)

The leaders of the PAN initiative drive clearly do not share the opinions of the majority of Arizonans. We understand that Arizona's economy and culture benefit greatly from immigration.

Protect Arizona Now is also supported by a number of anti-immgration organizations with ties to racist "white nationalist" organizations. The main goal of white nationalists is the preservation of white European culture. While not as overtly racist as white supremacist groups like the Ku Klux Klan, many white nationalists fear that unchecked immigration will lead to the destruction of a separate white culture. For a brief analysis of the links between anti-immigration groups and white nationalism, read "White Nationalism and Immigration Today" by Loretta J. Ross.

Anti-Immigration Groups That Support Protect Arizona Now

American Border Patrol
This California-based white nationalist group is headed by Glenn Spencer, who believes that the Catholic Church and the Mexican government are conspiring to reconquer the Southwest for Mexico. His newsletter has published stories arguing that people of European descent have a right to protect their culture and bloodlines against the rising "alien tide" (Center for New Community Background Brief). Spencer is well-known for inflammatory, racist statements like this: "The Mexican culture is based on deceit. Chicanos and Mexicanos lie as a means of survival" (Los Angeles Times, August 28, 1996). According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, FAIR's executive director Dan Stein "has warned that certain immigrant groups are engaged in 'competitive breeding' aimed at diminishing white power."

Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)
A group with close ties to white nationalist organizations. Their weekly television show has featured prominent white nationalists and far-right conspiracy theorists. They also provide major funding for Glenn Spencer's American Border Patrol and other anti-immigrant groups (Center for New Community Special Report). FAIR has pledged to donate $50,000 to the PAN campaign.

Citizens Against Illegal Immigration
This group is headed by Kathy McKee, the Director of Protect Arizona Now. They claim that illegal immigration leads to "the destruction of our language and our culture" and a "breakdown of law and order, and total absence of government accountability to taxpayers."

United Patriots of America
This group has contributed money to the PAN campaign. The President of United Patriots of America, Chris Simcox, is the founder of "Citizens Border Patrol Militia," a vigilante organization that patrols the Arizona/Mexico border in armed groups to keep immigrants from crossing. Simcox stated in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that it doesn't matter if he dies in a blaze of gunfire to protect the U.S. borders (HispanicVista.com).

NumbersUSA
NumbersUSA provides information attempting to link "mass illegal immigration" with environmental problems. The group's leader, Roy Beck, is the Washington editor of The Social Contract, a journal that has published articles by prominent white nationalists (SPLC Report).

Serial Killers: What Makes Them Tick
by Shirley Lynn Scott Sunday, May. 16, 2004 at 10:59 AM

What They Are

Before we look at who they are, we must first describe what they are. In his book The Killers Among Us, Steven Egger defines serial murder:

- A minimum of three to four victims, with a "cooling off" period in between;
- The killer is usually a stranger to the victim -- the murders appear unconnected or random;
- The murders reflect a need to sadistically dominate the victim;
- The murder is rarely "for profit"; the motive is psychological, not material;
- The victim may have "symbolic" value for the killer; method of killing may reveal this meaning;
- Killers often choose victims who are vulnerable

Statistically, the average serial killer is a WHITE MALE from a lower to middle class background, usually in his twenties or thirties. Many were physically or emotionally ABUSED by parents. Some were adopted.

As children, fledgling serial killers often set fires, torture animals, and wet their beds (these red-flag behaviors are known as the "triad" of symptoms.) BRAIN INJURIES are common. Some are very intelligent and have shown great promise as successful professionals.

They are also FASCSINATED WITH THE POLICE and AUTHORITY in general. They will either have attempted to become police themselves but were REJECTED, or worked as security guards, or had served in the military. Many, including John Gacy, the Hillside Stranglers, and Ted Bundy, will DISGUISE themselves as law enforcement officials to gain access to their victims.

Yes "Harry",I saw you on the local corporate TV news with your new "Can We All Get Along" program with the local Muslim community. godless
by godless Monday, May. 17, 2004 at 8:51 AM

The troll posting to Arizona IndyMedia using the name "godless", and also "hatewatcher" and several other names, is pretending to be a pro-immigration activist but their real agenda is:

Stirring Up Opposition To The Animal Rights Movement!!!

Take a close look at every one of his/her posts and you will note attacks on PeTA, Paul Watson, and other animal rights activists cleverly inserted into the text.

Pretty pathetic and transparent. You, "godless", are only using pro-immigration as a cover. Your real agenda is vivisection, factory farming, the anal electrocution of mink at fur farms, and the torture of veal calves. I'm calling you out, troll.

silly
by sally Monday, May. 17, 2004 at 9:22 AM

i feel like this last comment is so silly isn't really worth responding to, but for those who might be gullible, i happen to know godless and he is in fact an activist concerned with immigrant rights and anti-racism and he's also a vegetarian so this has nothing to do stirring up opposition to the animal rights movement.
there are several people (vegetarian/vegan types) who feel that there is a component of animal rights activism and environmentalism that is racist. did you hear about some members of the sierra club attempting to gain control of the group to use it towards more border control? ever hear animal rights activists argue that the experiments normally done on animals should be done on prisoners? and there is an ex-peta member as part of PAN, which is a racist group. this is of particular interest to people who are against all oppression. as a vegan, i am concerned with people who use the cause of animal rights or environmentalism to oppress others. this gives us a bad name. this is my perspective on this. godless may have just mentioned that the woman from PAN was in peta because it's another example the types of people involved with peta with their f-ed up campaigns they come up with. (i was personally offended by their campaign that stated that if you go vegetarian you're going to be thin- that fat is ugly and you need to stop eating meat and that'll solve your problems. there are beautiful fat vegans and vegetarians out there!).

here's something i wrote about PAN a few days ago but couldn't post:
Protect Arizona Now is so gross. This is obviously not just about citizens wanting their tax money to go to other citizens and only allowing citizens to vote. First of all, how many illegal immigrants actually try to vote? I would bet very few. They're trying to make this about fraud, but something tells me there's a lot more to their motivations than that. Besides, what does it say about them and why they're afraid that illegal immigrants are voting?<br> But just a look at their website shows a lot of racism.<br>
First look at this logo.<br>
<img src="http://www.pan2004.com/images/logo.jpg"><br>(They're selling t-shirts with this logo)<br>
They use fear to get people to go along with their campaign. "Every day you wait, another 5,000-10,000 illegal aliens invade our state."<br>
There was some good information on the fliers passed out at the demonstration at the Childress dealership, which were passed out to cars at intersections.

will the real godless please stand up?
by godless wonder Monday, May. 17, 2004 at 12:22 PM

It took me a while to read the last two posts since they were written in what appears to be size 3000 font. But I'll try to respond as best I can.

First, I do not appreciate you using my handle, "godless". It makes it look like I wrote that post, and I did not. Feel free to criticize me and hurl baseless accusations, but make up your own silly name to do so, please.

Second, I have absolutely no affiliation with anyone who posts using the name "hatemonger" or whoever it was that you accused me of being. I don't think I've even read any of her/his posts.

Third, I mentioned Kathy McKee's affiliation with PeTA only because I think it's an interesting bit of information. As Sally pointed out, many people in the animal rights and environmental movements are known to be racist and sexist. I think this is just one interesting case of an animal rights activist crossing over into racist organizing. I have been offended by some things that PeTA has done, but I have been glad to see many other things that they've done. At times, they seem to give vegans like myself a bad rap, but I don't have anything personal against the organization.

I don't think that animal rights activists are necessarily racist, sexist, or fat-phobic. In fact, of all the AR people that I've ever met (and there have been many), I can't think of any that stick out as being overtly racist. However, PAN and its affiliated groups are clearly racist, and they use animal and environmental issues as a cover. Read the article. Check out the links. If you go to the Citizen's Against Illegal Immigration site, they list environmental degradation and animal welfare as reasons to oppose immigration. Likewise, NumbersUSA uses that as their main justification for immigrant-bashing. As an environmentalist and vegan, I feel it is my duty to call out groups and individuals that use feel-good environmental rhetoric to disguise their racist agendas. Not in my name.

Nutjob Kathy McKee
by Rusty Childress Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004 at 9:52 AM

Here's a posting from Kathy McKee- She feels awful about downer livestock, and wishes that " all beings be happy and free from suffering" except of course for Mexicans...she loves cows and pigs, but loving Mexicans is apparently too much for her...

From: The Fund for Animals
To: gdpt@frontiernet.net
Sent: Tuesday, October 28, 2003 10:46 AM
Subject: URGENT! Downed Animal Vote Expected in U.S. Senate

Urge Your Senators to Support the Akaka Amendment!

The U.S. Senate is expected to vote on an amendment offered by Senator
Akaka to protect downed animals in the next day or two. It is
critical for animal advocates to contact their U.S. Senators to urge
them to support the Akaka Downed Animal Amendment.

This amendment to the Agriculture Appropriations bill seeks to prevent
the U.S. Department of Agriculture from approving meat from downed
animals (animals too sick even to stand) for human food. It will
remove the market for downed animals, and it will provide the
necessary incentive to prevent the problem from occurring in the first
place. Approximately 90% of downed animals can be prevented with
better care on the farm and during transit.

Downed animals suffer horribly. They are commonly dragged with chains
or pushed with tractors and forklifts on their way to slaughter.
Downed animals commonly languish for hours or days without receiving
food, water or veterinary care, and many die of neglect.

Using meat from downed animals poses a threat to human consumers.
Downers are among the most likely animals to harbor bacterial
contamination and to be afflicted with various diseases, including mad
cow disease.

Please contact your two U.S. Senators NOW and urge them to vote Yes on
the Akaka Downed Animal Amendment!

Call your two Senators at 202-224-3121, or send them an automatic fax
by visiting our web site:
http://action.fund.org/action/index.asp?step=2&item=5092

by truth Saturday, Sep. 04, 2004 at 1:12 AM

As usual you are wrong.
The (working people not you) people of Arizona (70% +) are sick of paying millions of dollars to support social programs for the Lazy and "ILLEGAL"
We are tired of their crime.
You want to keep them here and use them for election fraud in your favor again....well It aint happenin.
If you people actually had jobs and brains you would realize this.

Telling the Truth!
by Michael Sunday, Sep. 05, 2004 at 1:47 AM

Proposition 200 is a joke. "truth" talks about halting spending on social programs for illegal immigrants. Prop 200 does nothing to modify entitlement of undocumented aliens to social programs. Prop 200 does nothing to prevent illegal immigration. Prop 200 does increase the required documentation for voter registration and voting, with a corresponding proliferation of state beaurocracy, and a hefty price tag for the Arizona taxpayer (an estimated 27 million dollars in the first year to implement.) It also in essence deputizes every state, county and municipal employee as a field worker for the INS by requiring that said employees investigate and report citizenship status to the INS. Our state tax dollars will be paying (big time) for state employees to do the work of the federal government in policing immigration, without compensation from the federal government.

So, the only possible positive impact of Prop 200 would be to prevent undocumented aliens from voting, BUT nobody has yet demonstrated that there is any significant incidence of this type of voter fraud in Arizona, so Prop 200 in large part is engineered to remedy a problem which we likely don't have. The negative impact is profound- growing government beaurocracy, an increased financial burden on the taxpayers of Arizona, lost revenue due to boycott (remember the fallout from the MLK holiday issue?)

This is why Prop 200 meets with opposition across the political spectrum from Janet Napolitano to John McCain to the Arizona Chamber of Commerce- it's not because of the racist implications, so much as the fact that Prop 200 is just stupid, expensive legislation which accomplishes nothing.

The "cost" of immigrants
by truth Wednesday, Sep. 08, 2004 at 5:40 AM

I can't believe anyone would pass off scare tactics as "truth" because I see no proof of the millions of dollars that ondocumented immigrants cost us. Well, unless you cite the "studies" done by KKK offshoots like FAIR.

Most reputable studies show that immigrants pay taxes, but those without documents don't get them refunded like the rest of us. The net gain to Arizona is substantial, but is actually the real tragedy -- that we exploit people from other countries to do undesireable jobs at low pay.

You can't just use the word "truth" to make a ridiculous argument sound legitimate.

One does not have t be racially motivated to see a problem with leaving the border situation unchecked. The idea of racism is appealing to both sides of the issue as it is a way to enrage each side against the other. What is necessary is to protect all individuals from exploitation on both sides of the border not increas it. By being sucked into the race issue, you ignorthe facts of a problem other than a race motivate one.
At issue are jobs, health and wealfare of citizens and would be guest workers of whatever race. We have laws in place that are not being enforced and big business making mney off the backs of the poor workers.
If we all continue to struggle against one another based on a racial ideology we will all loose and the big industry slave owners will simply go unincumbered and get righer.
Wake up humanity.
Our borders are wide open. A five strand barbed wire fence is no deterent to anyone. If a living wage was given to all workers, then the explotation of illegal workers would become unnecessary.

liberals move to Mexico
by JD Thursday, Jun. 22, 2006 at 11:12 PM
killerbeejd@gimail.af.mil

Liberal pansies like "Everbody" should shut their communist mouths and move to Mexico or some other central american country. Some of us don't want the U.S. to become a Third World country...and that will happen if it is filled with people from Third World countries. If you hate the U.S. and whites so much...fine. Now get the hell out of my country and have your diversity somewhere else...by the way...you better brush up on your spanish....they won't be speaking English so you'll have to accommodate them like the liberal pansie that you are.

But we don't like you, so get the fuck out, you fascist scum! If you like white people so much, there's plenty of 'em in Germany. But, better bone up on your German, dude!
