Ann Coulter and Al-Pieda Operatives
by twang Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004 at 9:41 PM
chosenmachine@hotmail.com

My questioning of Ann along with my planned anticts were interrupted by Al-pieda recruits. This is an online letter I wrote to a couple of friends and thought I would relay it as an personal story of Ann Coulter's brief encounter with Tucson

blond wafe of mordor

You know what Ann Coulter's main talking point main was during her tirade at Centennial Hall? in her words and to the applause and cheer of everyone there was "Racial profiling!". She used those exact words. Ann related to the audience her recent pass through at the Tucson International Airport in which she observed that alot of the people getting searched were "blond haired" (read white) and that the only people she thought needed to get searched were the people doing the searching (read non-white). One high-tech security device she thought should be added to airline security is a "paint color sample square". In her words you could just put it next to someone's skin and see if it resembled the color to search and detain them. She spent an overwhelming amount of time speaking about the need for racial profiling and why it is necessary.

She also derided gays numerous times. Said ALL women should be banned from joining the military because women have different duties at home. Ann also let us know "women shouldnt be forced to fight men's wars". The ever jocular conservative made a point of making jokes about mexicans "raking yards" across the country more than once. She derided a multiple amputee that serves in Congress for not being brave because he supports john kerry even tho he lost an arm and two legs in vietnam!. She called islam an evil religion "evidenced by the daily videos of people cutting off heads". Geez Ann, guess your "stalinist public school teachers" forgot to mention the crusades, the inquisition, or the other religious violence that has happened or is happening that involves christian extremists or you would know probablly every religion could be called evil under your guidlines. She stated that there was direct links between Saddam Hussien and Osama Bin but she coulnt trust the CIA to find it (who have declared no connection between the whole Baathist regime or members of Al-queda) because if they couldnt prevent September 11th from happening how can we expect them to discover that link? Ann's banter included many other exaggerations, half-truths, homo-phobic rhetoric, and racist themed remarks but if I remember them all I would have ended up putting Ann's whole speech down verbatim.

During question and answer time I waited in line to ask a question and preceded a gulf war vet who served under Clinton and Bush the 1st who said things got "kinda wierd" under clinton because of his dont ask dont tell policies which "made you kind of uncomfortable" thinking there is a possibility that you might be around gay people. The strapping gentleman then asked how the United States could allow a "traitor" to run for president?(standing ovation and highfives). Anne said that is the best question she has ever heard. I was wondering which candidate was he talking about?

Well a liberal did dare come up to the microphone before me and ask a question and got booed and screamed at and told to "sit down fag!". When it came my turn I tried a different route by impersonating one her brown-shirted fans--"hi anne, thankyou so much for coming here tonight. my first question is really about tacticts. umm i am christian by birth, who was raised by my parents who were christian and i know fight for christian causes on campus."

Anne-"So your a republican!."(cheers and applause)

Me-" in college i have been fighting the culture of death being propagated by liberals and fighting against homosexuals trying to integrate themselves into every level of our society to bring it down." (everyone is clapping and cheering me on, how nice of them) "well i guess i want to ask you a question about tactics because while trying to convert muslims on campus i have been telling them about how evil and deranged liberals are and some really fundamentalist ones agree with me and tell me they hate abortionists, gays feminists and radical women's rights too. And I was just wondering how as a conservative christian movement we can hookup with these people because they share alot of our enemies and beliefs." Then she began to answer "that is a very good question and you know what i talk about this in my new book. if muslims dropped the whole terrorist thing, liberals would hate them..." then the next moment out of stage left THIS happened.

As you saw all the people in that whole section got up and ran towards the two who were basiclly saved from getting gang-beaten by thier uber-christian brethren by the police. Ann actually yelled out "would the marines in the audience get those two!". I dropped the microphone and ran up to where the people were surrounding them hoping to help thier situation and suddenly got hit in the back by a women behind me. I lurched over and got back up and yelled "what the Fuck are you doing?" and she said "oh I'm sorry I didnt see you were that guy who just asked a question". oh thanks so much you thought I was just a random person to let your wrath on because Coulter cried for blood.

well ann went back up and I had lost the mike and was again in my seat. She responded to my question again with the statement that "liberals would hate muslims" if they dropped the terrorist jihad from their religion. and then said that "if you are concerned about converting muslims think about the korean war. We invaded part of thier countries and our soldiers were followed by missionaries and we havent heard anything from that part of the country again. So as soon as we can kill the terrorists in iraq we can start doing that there." Wow, way to totally side step my question. not to mention that christians are in Iraq right now and have been for centuries. My next question would have been "should we support muslim countries and muslim peoples from implementing the areas of sharia law that coincides with our fundamentalist christian world view?" and then i was going to name a few.

And it is a shame I got interupted and lostg the mike because after her next side-stepping answer that involved making fun of "liberals" i was going to unzip my jacket with my tshirt that said "I LOVE U Ann Coulter! Show me your tits!" and try to get the crowd to follow along. I was interupted by the "assaulting of Ann Coulter". Anne coulter is a women yet espouses the tenets of sexism. i was going to try to imitate her sexist attitude and impersonate one of her over-zealous Young Republican ideologues to put her in an awkward situation. Well I didn't get that chance.

I am so friggin happy anne coulter was who the Young Republicans decided to make they're hallmark speaker at UofA this year. A good laugh was had by all decent people in attendance (about a dozen people). Keep it up YRs! If tyou keep bringing clowns like that to UofA, moderate republicans and not to mention most rational people will look at conservatism in a very bad light. I would have been disapointed if a well-spoken rational republican had come to speak and made statements with substance and evidence. Then again if anyone who was well spoken rational and made statements with substance and evidence was seen in our pop-political discourse today i would be shocked.

By the way the two young lads, Philip and William of "Al-pieda" were charged with "assault and battery" because some of the custard cream filling from a pie that missed her got on her shoulder. They are charging them with a felony. The police also mentioned "Al-pieda propaganda" found on the persons. Does anyone have that to post or know where it can be found?

Does anyone want to help organize a bake sale supporting the "Al-Pieda Pie Throwing Veterans for Truth"? It would also be cool to hand out flyers at the bake sale with Ann Coulter's statements from that night with refuting evidence to the contrary. $3000 dollars is alot to pay between two people and we should find ways to help them out.

I also read Ann Coulter was returning in the next couple of weeks, possibly for the Al-pieda court hearing. An Al-pieda solidarity action anyone? Any tasty pie recipes anyone would like to share?

Sorry to Interrupt

Sorry our agents interrupted your question. It was obvious at that point though that neither Coulter nor the crowd would let intelligent argument get in the way of their little fascist theatre.

I'm glad you want to support us. We really could have some heavy fines coming our way. Please visit our website:
http://www.alpieda.org/

We will be having a bake sale at the Fourth Avenue Street Fair, Saturday November 6. Please contact Al Pieda if you'd like to help out.

Thanks for the work and the risk taking! Great ideas . . . a meme like al Pieda is important to break apart the lies of the fascists.

Even the LATimes is writing about the myth of Al Quaeda:

Is Al Qaeda Just a Bush Boogeyman?

Is it conceivable that Al Qaeda, as defined by President Bush as the center of a vast and well-organized international terrorist conspiracy, does not exist?

Is it conceivable that Al Qaeda, as defined by President Bush as the center of a vast and well-organized international terrorist conspiracy, does not exist?

To even raise the question amid all the officially inspired hysteria is heretical, especially in the context of the U.S. media's supine acceptance of administration claims relating to national security. Yet a brilliant new BBC film produced by one of Britain's leading documentary filmmakers systematically challenges this and many other accepted articles of faith in the so-called war on terror.

"The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of the Politics of Fear," a three-hour historical film by Adam Curtis recently aired by the British Broadcasting Corp., argues coherently that much of what we have been told about the threat of international terrorism "is a fantasy that has been exaggerated and distorted by politicians. It is a dark illusion that has spread unquestioned through governments around the world, the security services and the international media."

Stern stuff, indeed. But consider just a few of the many questions the program poses along the way:

• If Osama bin Laden does, in fact, head a vast international terrorist organization with trained operatives in more than 40 countries, as claimed by Bush, why, despite torture of prisoners, has this administration failed to produce hard evidence of it?

• How can it be that in Britain since 9/11, 664 people have been detained on suspicion of terrorism but only 17 have been found guilty, most of them with no connection to Islamist groups and none who were proven members of Al Qaeda?

• Why have we heard so much frightening talk about "dirty bombs" when experts say it is panic rather than radioactivity that would kill people?

• Why did Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld claim on "Meet the Press" in 2001 that Al Qaeda controlled massive high-tech cave complexes in Afghanistan, when British and U.S. military forces later found no such thing?

Of course, the documentary does not doubt that an embittered, well-connected and wealthy Saudi man named Osama bin Laden helped finance various affinity groups of Islamist fanatics that have engaged in terror, including the 9/11 attacks. Nor does it challenge the notion that a terrifying version of fundamentalist Islam has led to gruesome spates of violence throughout the world. But the film, both more sober and more deeply provocative than Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11," directly challenges the conventional wisdom by making a powerful case that the Bush administration, led by a tight-knit cabal of Machiavellian neoconservatives, has seized upon the false image of a unified international terrorist threat to replace the expired Soviet empire in order to push a political agenda.

Terrorism is deeply threatening, but it appears to be a much more fragmented and complex phenomenon than the octopus-network image of Al Qaeda, with Bin Laden as its head, would suggest.

While the BBC documentary acknowledges that the threat of terrorism is both real and growing, it disagrees that the threat is centralized:

"There are dangerous and fanatical individuals and groups around the world who have been inspired by extreme Islamist ideas and who will use the techniques of mass terror — the attacks on America and Madrid make this only too clear. But the nightmare vision of a uniquely powerful hidden organization waiting to strike our societies is an illusion. Wherever one looks for this Al Qaeda organization, from the mountains of Afghanistan to the 'sleeper cells' in America, the British and Americans are chasing a phantom enemy."

The fact is, despite the efforts of several government commissions and a vast army of investigators, we still do not have a credible narrative of a "war on terror" that is being fought in the shadows.

Consider, for example, that neither the 9/11 commission nor any court of law has been able to directly take evidence from the key post-9/11 terror detainees held by the United States. Everything we know comes from two sides that both have a great stake in exaggerating the threat posed by Al Qaeda: the terrorists themselves and the military and intelligence agencies that have a vested interest in maintaining the facade of an overwhelmingly dangerous enemy.

Such a state of national ignorance about an endless war is, as "The Power of Nightmares" makes clear, simply unacceptable in a functioning democracy.
