I do agree that the media did a horrible job in under reporting the numbers of those protesting the president’s visit to the city.

KUAZ radio said 200 were at the protest. That number is way too small.

Despite the dispiute over numbers, which is always a point of contention between the media and activists, it was fun to see channel 9, KGUN, and their live broadcast of the event.

When the bush motorcade was making its way out of the downtown area, camera crews filmed, and focused in on a small group of people who had amassed outside of the plasma center on South 4th avenue that sits one block south of Broadway. Those people were standing still until the motorcade passed the up. That is when they all proceeded to boo and flip off the president. The cameras pulled away quickly, but not without broadcasting this nice Tucson hello to the commander in chief.

It was a nice Fuck You to Bush.

I hope he never comes back here again. Two visits by him to our beautiful city, is two too many.
