At this morning’s City Court hearing, the Criminal Trespass charges were not dropped. The Judge ordered all to return to City Court for pre-trial hearing 1:30 pm Friday, Aug. 19, 2005
Charged with Criminal Trespass on July 13, 2005, five members of the Tucson Raging Grannies deny they were trespassing and insist that they were serious about enlisting in the U.S. Army. Four media representatives were also cited.
The Raging Grannies had attempted to enlist in the U.S. Army at the military recruitment center 2303 E. Speedway the morning of July 13, 2005. Tucson City Police were called by the U.S. Army, resulting in the Grannies’ citation.
The Grannies purpose to enlist was to enable the safe return of young men and women presently in Iraq and Afghanistan. That's what this country needs. A bunch of old women acting like "Jane Fonda's".
Why don't they use their energy to help this country, not try and take it down.
They look like "old democrats" that are fighting a lost cause.
