Yawn... This looks awful familiar. Will someone please explain to me the theory behind this? What are the reasons for choosing these particular tactics? How are they expected to end the war or bring the troops home? What is the effect they are supposed to have? How will success be evaluated?
Seriously. Wasn't this exact thing tried already, to absolutely no discernable affect just a couple months ago? I think it's time to ratchet things up a notch and start trying some tactics that might work, since those proposed above so clearly do not. With more than two-thirds of Americans against the war, there is a real base of support there. Let's take advantage of it and get more militant. Let's blockade the damn thing or shut down that damn rich mall next door. There need to be consequences for the system or it will never stop killing in Iraq.
Unfortunately, the local anti-war cadre appears to be stuck in a creative rut. I wonder, do they even really want to stop the war? You sure couldn't tell from their tactics...
