Over 400 people marched in Tucson to protest the Iraq War and demand “Bring The Troops Home Now”. A diverse crowd, led by the indigenous Danza Mexica Cuauhtémoc collective, chanted anti-war slogans as they marched down Speedway Blvd to the midtown Military Recruitment Center. The anti-war crowd filled two city blocks as they stood across from the Recruitment Center, vastly outnumbering the 40-50 pro-war demonstrators that had gathered there. The anti-war marchers were met with honks of support, raised fists and other signs of support from passing motorists along the entire route of the march.

Your numbers are skewed, we took a head count as you arrived and there were only 138 of you compared to the 103 of us supporting our troops in front of the recruiting center.
Nice to know you embellish though, its handy to know for the future.
Thank you for excercising your 1st amendment freedoms, this is what democracy is all about.
Oh and thank you to EVERYONE for the non-violent, no damage day of democracy.

I estimated the numbers were more like 200 anti-war, about 150 anti-peace. but i admit i didn't do an exact count.
here's a photo of the march coming down Speedway about to cross Mountain.

another photo, this one of the striking but strange "infidel" shirts a lot of the anti-peace protesters were wearing. not sure what the message of those was.

Glad to see we confused you with the infidel shirts.
Make note of em. Where you see them, we will be.
Thanks for the excellent pictures...can you believe I forgot to get pictures of us in our infidel shirts?
BTW Check the flag etiquette rules, those flags were not on the ground, so therfor, they have not been disrespected. In fact, their placement was signed off and approved by several veterans and active military.
ANd I feel SOOOOOOOOO good that we denied you pictures of the recruiting center signs :)
Thanks again to everyone for a non-violent, no damage day of democracy...see you next time ;)

You didn't deny anybody anything.
The tide's turning, you'll see. I'm glad the infidel shirts will make you easy to pick out, so people will know where the idiots are.

Lets tally what we denied you that day..shall we?
1. You did not get access onto the property where you had previously planned to be
2. You did not get the chance to get pictures of the march dumping into the offices with the recruiter signs in the background
3. You did not get the chance to graffitti and vandalise the property like you did last year
4. You did not get the chance to belittle and heckle the recruiters who conducted business all through the day.
5. You did not get the chance to interrupt the conducting of business on the property, except for the business owners that were scheduled to be there that day, but did not come for fear of their own safety when you repeated last year.
6. You did not get the chance to get close enough to allow anyone in the building to hear your anti-war diatribe.
Huh...seems like we accomplished quite a bit that day. Not only that, but we had about 6 gold star families on our side holding signs. We also had parents and relatives of active military holding signs.
We also got 99% of the press coverage in Tucson that day.
Yep....like you said, you didnt get denied anything
LOL
