Sloppy Slogans

Nice turnout. But I always see one or two signs that can diminish the effectiveness of the event. One sign said, "We Are All Migrants." This is neither true nor relevant. Migrants move within the country to find work. So are we all immigrants? No, most of us are descendants of immigrants.
The other sign is "We Are Not Illegal." Yes you are. That's why people who know which end is up are trying to get that reformed. Reform would be great, our Mexican friends and others serve an important purpose and DO work. Hard. But don't insult people's intelligence and say you're not illegal. That could immediately alienate them, so they won't care what else you have to say.
