with or want to know more about the massive immigration raids that are
currently happening in this country please make sure you make it because we
will have lots and lots of information. This campaign is something that is
coming straight out of our hearts... from ourselves to you, from our barrios
for our barrios.
Hello All,
I wanted to let all of you know that the Stop the Raids Campaign will be
showing a testimony video Nov. 15th on campus... come and check out the
video and stay for the discussion that will follow. If you are unfamilar
with or want to know more about the massive immigration raids that are
currently happening in this country please make sure you make it because we
will have lots and lots of information. This campaign is something that is
coming straight out of our hearts... from ourselves to you, from our barrios
for our barrios. We are simply a group of people who have come together to
say we have had enough... and many beautiful things are coming out of
that. Please come and check it out...
If you would like more information prior to the event (or you would like to
make it but can't), please feel free to contact me. We are holding events
just like this one where ever we can... in our homes, schools, community
centers, libraries, etc.

- The current situation is urgent. The Immigration and Customs
Enforcement (I.C.E.) agency has increased home and workplace raids
where *a record number of more than 27,500 people are in immigration
detention centers on any given day*.
- In Fiscal year 2006 alone, *195,000* people were arrested and
deported by I.C.E. Families are separated and communities are living
in fear and terror.
- Come support the "Stop the Raids" camapaign: a grassroots, community
movement addressing immigration and border issues!
