What: Emergency planning meeting

Where: Faith Lutheran Church, 801 East Camelback Road
When: Saturday, December 8th at 5:00 PM

Purpose: To plan a directed campaign of public support for Police Chief Harris, Mayor Phil Gordon and the City Council to maintain their "Don't Ask" policy" and prevent the police Dept. from becoming de-facto Immigration agents. At an earlier meeting the decision was taken to broaden the call and reach a larger cross section of the progressive community to come together in defense of the Latino Community.

Background:

Many of you may already be aware that there is an intensive, racist led campaign to pressure the Mayor and City Council to follow Sheriff Arpio's lead and convert the Phoenix police into an extension of the immigration enforcement arm, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) which is terrorizing the immigrant community as you read this notice.

While some in the progressive community are in favor of this persecution and believe it to be necessary, this notice is NOT to convince those who do not understand why this must be opposed. The purpose is to make a call for all people of conscience to come to the aid of the Latino community in a practical and directed campaign of support.

An emergency call to arms is being made to all those who see and understand not only the racist implications of increasing the persecution of the immigrant community, but equally important, what it means from the broader perspective of a further move towards a police state under the guise of "enforcing immigration law". Today it is the Latino community and tomorrow it may be yours!

"May I see your papers please?" Is the chilling question that today is being asked of people with Latino features and skin tones. Tomorrow it will be asked of you on the slightest of provocations. Please make every effort to attend this strategic meeting, as the city administration needs to hear from the broader community. Today the racists are speaking for us all.

Did You Know?

Unknown to most American citizens is the existence of a ten-year plan by Homeland Security called "Endgame" to rid the country of every single undocumented immigrant, man, woman and child by the year 2012 (copies will be available). It has been moving at an accelerated rate and is right on schedule.

Already immense detention centers have been built and the political and social infrastructure is in place to carry this task out. In January of 2006, Kellogg, Brown and Root (a division of Halliburton) was awarded a $385 Million dollar contract to build detention facilities in the event of "an illegal immigration crisis". The handwriting is on the wall. The Latino community is in a fight for its life. Their appeal for help is extremely urgent!

Yes-its true! DHS is building large detention centers to house all illegal aliens for deportation, and the large roundups are allready starting. Some latino familes are being swept up by ICE agents in the middle of the night, and are never heard from again....not even in their own countries. Something is going very wrong in the USA. Illegal Aliens are disappearing, and I suspect the government is behind it.

My cousin works for a chicken factory in Arkansas and ICE was there to do a raid last month. 55 people were removed, and the next day-their wives and children were missing from town. He called ICE but they said they had no record of the raid and did not know where he could get help locating his detained freind.

I suspect they were taken to the large government tent facility in Kansas. Its well known that there is a large on outside of Kansas City, filled with women and children. I can only imagine the deplorable conditions there, rice/beans/torillas to eat, nothing else. Just sit and wait until your deportation hearing comes up and get on an airplane back to Mexico City.

Well I hope Operation Endgame is over soon. Im sick of hearing about the illegal aliens that are disappearing. We need them to clean toilets and wash dishes, and pick tomatos and sweep floors. I mean, who will do this crappy work if they leave? Im not, hell no, its below me.

Good luck at your meeting. I hope the ICE agents dont show up there and do a mass-sweep. Ive seen more and more Border Patrol trucks downtown Phoenix this week, something is brewing. I dont know if its Sheriff Joe bringing them in for the Pruitts protests or what, but they were massing in force this week off Central Ave and Thomas.

Calling everyone a racist who supports the rule of law will not make the plight of illegals easier.

What is the rule of law?

If you bypass immigration requirements to come into the country or outstay a VISA, you are in violation of the law.

Violation of immigration law has consequences; Deportation.

To label Americans who support the law, RACISTS has no validity.

The time has come to stop law breaking and that means ending the do not ask policy.
That means employers will either hire legal workers or have their license taken away.
That means we as law abiding citizens are required to do what the law says.

That does not make us Racists.

it does make you a racist when you don't call out well known racists at demonstrations. several have been showing up at pruitt's and have attended been at multiple demonstrations over the past year at the capital.
