2/5 - Film Night: "My Neighbor Totoro" - 5:30pm
An Anime by Hayao Miyazaki. Two young girls, Satsuke and her younger sister Mei, move into a house in the country with their father to be closer to their hospitalized mother. Satsuke and Mei discover that the nearby forest is inhabited by magical creatures called Totoros.
2/6 - Art Attack! - 5:30pm - Banner Making, T-shirt Printing, & more. Lots of fun!
2/7 - Film: "Live Nude Girls UNITE!" - 6pm - This first person documentary follows Julia Query, lesbian/stand-up comedian/peepshow-stripper, and daughter of a feminist activist, on her raucous journey to help organize the only union of strippers in the United States.
2/10 - FemininiTea - 6pm - Tea & discussion. Women only.
2/12 - Film Night: "The N-Word: Divided We Stand" - 5:30pm - The biggest names in show business come together to offer their opinions on one of the most inflammatory words in the English language in filmmaker Todd Williams' revealing and thought-provoking documentary.
2/13 - Art Attack! - 5:30pm (You know whats up!)
2/14 - "Bent Arrow"A gender bending, hallmark smashing, couple
subverting anti-valentines day dance party! - 8pm - $1 donation - All Ages.
2/17 - Vegan Potluck, Recipe Exchange & Film: "Peaceable Kingdom" - 6-8 pm
Peaceable Kingdom is a powerful documentary exposing the cruelty of factory farming and suggesting a far more compassionate attitude towards the animal kingdom.
2/19 - Film Night - 6:30pm - "NO!" a documentary by Aishah Shahidah Simmons.
NO! explores the international reality of rape, other forms of sexual assault and healing through the first person testimonies, scholarship, spirituality, activism, and cultural work of African-Americans.
2/20 - Art Attack! - 5:30pm
2/21 - Zine Making Workshop - 5:30- 8pm
2/22 - Creative Writing Circle - 5-8pm - Hosted by Chapparel & Uncle Don. Bring blank paper, something to write with and an open mind. No critiquing. Prose and poetry are fine.
2/24 - FemininiTea - 6pm - Tea & discussion. Women only.
2/26 - Film Night: Longest Walk Video & Discussion - 6pm
In February the historic Long Walk 2 will begin from San Francisco, CA and continue to Washington D.C. Come learn about the Longest Walk and learn how you can support Indigenous rights. www.longestwalk.org
2/27 - Adam Frumhoff & Guest - 6pm - $3-4 donation.
