Pro-Israel Protest this Sunday?
by Pastor M Saturday, Apr. 05, 2008 at 2:40 PM

Anyone up for this?

The JCC will be hosting a Pro Israel celebration this Sunday from 3pm-7pm.

Was wondering is any folks want to join me to protest this pro zionist gathering.

Its also free bus day as well (in case anyone was worried about rides.)

http://www.suntran.com has a route planner. Looks like the 11 is the only bus to go direct to the JCC but others connect to it.

Possible signs:

We got rocks, where are your tanks?
Zionism is Racism
Israel is Anti-Semetic. (Palestinians are semites and Israel uses Jews as human sheilds for stealing land)

Anyway it should be good. Come on out.

(make sure to bring water and sunscreen)

Bad idea
by and here's why Saturday, Apr. 05, 2008 at 10:52 PM

Look at the sponsoring organizations- its schools and synagogues- its a cultural event- why do you think thats worth protesting?
My general rule- if it involves grade school kids doing skits, keep away. This involves grade school kids doing skits

Don't do it
by been there, done that Sunday, Apr. 06, 2008 at 10:34 AM

A few years ago, a bunch of us crashed an event at the JCC- not this one, a different one. It was pretty embarrassing because, yes, it was little kids singing songs of peace and as we marched in, the group was releasing a flock of white doves.

Tread carefully or you will look pretty silly.

More hatred in Tucson

Why are you protesting against Jewish people again? I will never understand your hatred.

What about Tibet? Darfur? etc. etc.

Why the big deal about Israel
by IMC obsession Monday, Apr. 07, 2008 at 10:56 AM

Why the big deal abo...
darfur_2.png, image/png, 400x480

I've often wondered why the IMC's are obssessed with Israel, since its a small player considering the neighborhood.

Darfur- 400,000 dead
Tibet - 1,000,000 dead
Congo- 5,000,000 dead.

"why the IMC's are obssessed with Israel"
by petitio principii Tuesday, Apr. 08, 2008 at 7:26 PM

They aren't "obsessed." Israel takes up very little space on IMC. So does everything else. No single topic dominates.

As for Darfur, Israel is a far, far more important topic to focus on. Body count is not a rational way to determine which is more important. What makes Israel so immensely more important than Darfur is the scope of the possible outcomes. No matter how bad things get in Darfur, it will never lead to a nuclear war. It's effect on the rest of the world is virtually nil. But the Samson Option is a dagger, hung by a thread over the head of humanity.

If that were at all true
by If that were at all true Wednesday, Apr. 09, 2008 at 1:41 PM

If that were at all true then we would anticipate as equal an obessesion with India/Pakistan where conflict has become near nuclear on several occasions while the Arab-Israeli conflict never has.

No, thats a crock. If there were no Jews involved, then we'd hear precious little about Israel on Indymedia.

someone do the math
by PPyy Friday, Apr. 11, 2008 at 8:34 PM

I don't know about any blood from Darfur being on American hands. These days, who knows?

BUT for damn sure, supplying the MURDEROUS THEIVING Zionist crusaders with the means to destroy Palestinian lives and lifes IS getting Palestinian blood on American hands. And pissing off a billion people to some degree. A billion. think about 1 %. Now 1/10 of 1 %. Still a shitload, ain't it? Now, 1/100 of 1 %. THAT is what Bush's handlers say WE are fighting against.

Maybe my math is wrong. I am on 6th Icehouse. So tell me (us/US), is that about right for the "al quida" PLUS all other "terrorists" (philippines, odd story there, the G.I. . .380 cal wouldn't drop those upity locals, so the G.I. side arm was switched to the .45 APC). Or is it one more? 1/1000 of 1 %?

U R here.
by PPyy Friday, Apr. 11, 2008 at 9:23 PM

Shit.

.45 APC switch was 100 years ago

I guess McCain's 100 year war is over. How about another hundred year war? Anybody? Anybody at all???

Will you even be given a choice????????????????????????????????????????????
??????????????????????????????????????????????????

by and more Saturday, Apr. 12, 2008 at 7:15 AM

China is responsible for the ethnic cleansing of Tibet, for arming the Jangaweed and the oppressive regime of Sudan
