Arizona bill would outlaw MEChA and courses that denigrate American values like capitalism
by kilo Monday, Apr. 21, 2008 at 10:22 AM

Arizona public schools would be barred from any teachings considered counter to democracy or Western civilization under a proposal endorsed Wednesday by a legislative panel. Additionally, the measure would prohibit students of the state's universities and community colleges from forming groups based in whole or part on the race of their members, such as the Black Business Students Association at Arizona State University or Native Americans United at Northern Arizona University. Those groups would be forbidden from operating on campus.

These people are trying to outlaw science!
by Ezra Niesen Thursday, May. 29, 2008 at 5:51 PM

The United States Constitution was written in the 18th century. The Theory of Evolution and the Laws of Thermodynamics weren't discovered until the 19th century. Our government was founded by people who had fundamental misunderstandings about biology and physics.

If anyone's interested in getting involved in some direct action against this, I'm setting up a website as an activists' references source to science. The scientists who discovered global environmental unsustainability 40 years ago have been saying from the very beginning that radical social change will be necessary if we don't want's global environmental disaster to kill billions of people in the 21st century.

I've been working on this as a full time occupation for 4 years. I've written 8 books on how to recognize scientific principles at work in day-to-day life, how those scientific principles relate to the environment and humanity's relationship to it and to each other, and where to find reliable sources to learn more. The content is easy for me cuz there are very few people in the world who are as good at science as I am, but my computer skills aren't very good. My friend who was helping me run my old website doesn't have much time anymore.

The science to took to discover global environmental unsustainability in the first place was pretty complicated, but now that it has been discovered, understanding how it works and what it means are simple enough that they only require high school level science to understand. My solution to the problem has been to compile reference sources to science that teenagers, their concerned parents, activists, and even Mexican peasant farmers can use to teach themselves more about planetary science than any U.S. president has ever known. Then we'll just see who decides what does and doesn't belong in our education system.

I could really use the help of someone with some good computer skills, but there are also things people can do that don't require good computer skills. I live in the Phoenix/East Valley area. Email me if you're interested. Thanks.
