A message from Sheriff Joe to Negros!
by Sheriff Joe Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at 9:49 AM

Famous Negros break the law, do time in Tent City! Of course that rule doesn't apply to famous White people like Glen Campbell

When famous White singer Glen Campbell got nailed for DUI Sheriff Joe put Glen Campbell in a country club version of Maricopa County Jail out in Mesa.

Of course Sheriff Joe treats Negroes differently. Sheriff Joe is making famous Black rapper DMX spend time in his hell hole called Tent City. And of course Sheriff Joe is making famous Black basketball star Charles Barkely do time in the Tent City hell hole too. Of course even if you hate all of these stuck up rich assholes Sheriff Joe really should put them in the same country club jail that he let Glen Campbell stay in so the other inmates don't try to harm them. But no, there are Black and Sheriff Joe is making them stay in his hell hole called Tent City.

Barkley to serve DUI jail time in sheriff's Tent City

Feb. 24, 2009 12:26 PM

Staff and wire reports

Charles Barkley will serve his time in Tent City.

Barkley, the former Phoenix Suns player, was sentenced Monday to 10 days in jail after pleading guilty to a DUI, stemming from his arrest on New Year's Eve.

If Barkley completes a court-approved alcohol program, he will only have to serve five of those days in jail. The Scottsdale judge also allowed the NBA basketball analyst to serve his time with a work release, which will allow Barkley to leave the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office's outdoor jail from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the duration of his sentence.

Barkley, 46, is scheduled to begin serving his sentence on March 21.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio said he chose to house Barkley in the tents because he didn't want to be accused of offering special privileges for celebrities.

"I'm taking a lot of heat for putting convicted illegal immigrants in the tents. How am I going to discriminate and not put high-profile people in the tents?" Arpaio asked.

Barkley also was sentenced to pay more than $2,000 in fines.

Barkley was stopped on Dec. 31 in Old Town Scottsdale with a blood-alcohol content of .149, which is nearly twice the legal limit of .08 under Arizona state law.

Barkley made a public apology last week as he returned to his job as a TNT analyst after a six-week leave of absence.

"I think that a DUI is unacceptable," he added. "That can't happen, and I've got to challenge other people, not just celebrities or jocks. You have to really think before getting behind the wheel after you've been drinking."
