Tue Mar 10 2009 (Updated 03/11/09) Dozens of publishers and alternative media outlets to participate in Anarchist Book Fair
On Saturday and Sunday, March 14th and 15th, more than 40 vendors and dozens more publishers, distributors, independent booksellers, alternative media and political groups, artists, and others will give presentations and panel discussions. Topics range from Native American Perspectives On the State and Eastern European Anarchism to a Sex Workers Panel and Surviving The Economic Meltdown.

Bound Together Bookstore presented the first Bay Area Anarchist Book Fair on March 30, 1996. The event was organized to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Bound Together, and took place in the San Francisco County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park near Ninth Avenue and Lincoln Way, where the event is still held annually today.

Valet bicycle parking will be provided by the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, and two local worker-owned co-ops will be food and beverage vendors this year: Arizmendi on Saturday and Other Avenues on Sunday.
