And you thought that the Russian newspaper Pravda was the only propaganda newspaper in the world. Not so, right here in Phoenix Arizona we have two propaganda newspapers funded by the government. One is Metro News, which is funded by Valley Metro. The other is Tempe Town News, which is funded by the city of Tempe. Both use your tax dollars to make our government rulers look good.
Valley Metro's propaganda rag - Metro News - The People's Paper
While this newspaper isn’t published by Valley Metro it appears to be bought and paid for by the government entities that run Valley Metro, such as Tempe, Phoenix, Maricopa County and the state of Arizona.
It mostly prints articles telling how wonderful our city, county and state government agencies are, along with nothing but praise for light rail.
It is given away at racks along the light rail route.
Tempe's propaganda rag - Tempe Town News
While this newspaper isn’t published by the City of Tempe it appears to be bought and paid for by the City of Tempe.
It usually prints a few articles about the Tempe Mayor and Tempe city council members, along with articles about politically correct stuff that the city of Tempe rulers support.
It is given away at Tempe Public library and mailed to Tempe employees.
This postage permit which is a Phoenix Permit number 5059 may be the key to who pays for mailing the Tempe Town News out. I suspect that number 5059 is owned by the city of Tempe. Although it could be permit owned by the company that prints Tempe propaganda rag, and Tempe pays them for any postage expenses.
